Privacy Statement

Effective 17 July 2026 · Version 1.0

This Privacy Statement explains how Linguine Technologies Ltd (“Linguine”, “we”, “us” or “our”) collects, uses, and safeguards personal data. It applies to our website at trylinguine.com and to the AI phone-agent service we provide to hospitality businesses (together, the “Service”).

1. Who we are

Linguine Technologies Ltd is a private limited company incorporated in England & Wales on 3 July 2026, with company number 17317847 and registered activity code (SIC) 62012 — business and domestic software development. You can reach us at [email protected].

2. Personal data we process

Depending on how you interact with us, we process the following categories of personal data:

  • Customer contact data — name, work email, venue name, phone number, and account credentials for people who sign up or contact us.
  • Caller data — when the Service answers a call to a Customer’s venue, we process the caller’s phone number, spoken content of the call, transcripts, and any booking details they provide (party size, date, time, notes such as allergies).
  • Booking data — reservation records created or modified by the Service on behalf of the Customer.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type, device information, and event logs generated when you use our dashboard or website.
  • Billing data — company name, billing address, and payment identifiers processed by our payment provider (we do not store full card numbers).

3. Where we get it

We receive personal data directly from you when you sign up, from callers when they call a venue that uses the Service, from our Customers who configure the Service and integrate their reservation systems, and from third-party providers we use to operate the Service.

4. How we use it & legal bases

Under the UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract — to provide, secure, and support the Service and to bill Customers.
  • Legitimate interests — to improve, monitor, and protect the Service, prevent fraud and abuse, and communicate with Customers about their account. We balance these interests against your rights and freedoms.
  • Legal obligation — to comply with UK tax, accounting, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Consent — where we ask for it, for example before sending marketing emails to non-customers.

5. Roles under UK GDPR

When we provide the Service to a Customer (a restaurant or hospitality business), that Customer is the controller of the personal data of their callers and we act as their processor. A Data Processing Addendum is available on request. When we operate our website, market the Service, or manage Customer accounts, we act as the controller.

6. Sub-processors & third parties

We use trusted third parties to operate the Service. The current sub-processors are:

  • Anthropic PBC — large-language-model inference (call reasoning and dialogue).
  • ElevenLabs Inc. — speech synthesis and voice generation.
  • Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, networking, and edge compute.
  • Twilio Inc. — telephony and voice connectivity.
  • Vercel Inc. — hosting for our website.
  • Reservation-system integrators (e.g. OpenTable, SevenRooms, TheFork, Zenchef, Dojo, DesignMyNight) — only when a Customer connects their reservation system to the Service, and only to the extent necessary to synchronise bookings.

We update this list from time to time and can share the current version on request.

7. International transfers

Some sub-processors are based outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred to a country that has not been granted UK adequacy status, we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, together with appropriate technical and organisational safeguards.

8. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this statement. Call transcripts and recordings are retained for the period configured by the Customer (by default, 90 days) and then deleted or anonymised. Account and billing records are kept for up to seven years to meet UK tax and accounting obligations.

9. Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit, access controls, logging, and vendor due diligence. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take our responsibilities seriously.

10. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate personal data corrected;
  • have personal data erased in certain circumstances;
  • restrict or object to processing;
  • data portability, where applicable;
  • withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact [email protected]. If your data is processed by us on behalf of a Customer (for example, if you called a restaurant that uses the Service), please contact that venue in the first instance — they are the controller. We will support them in responding.

11. Cookies & analytics

Our marketing website (trylinguine.com) does not currently use analytics cookies or third-party trackers. If we introduce them we will update this statement and, where required, ask for your consent. Our authenticated dashboard uses essential cookies only to keep you signed in.

12. Complaints

You can complain to us at any time using the contact details above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

13. Changes to this statement

We may update this statement from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email or in-product notice before they take effect.
